Boracay Experience Part 3: The Talipapa Market and The Long White Sand Beach

Right after we checked in our things in Boracay Courtyard Beach Resort around 1PM March 2 we decided to go to the Talipapa Market to eat our lunch. The Talipapa Market in Station 2 is just a few meters away from our resort.

The market has many stalls where a variety of pasalubongs can be bought – t-shirts, key chains, bags, boardwalk shorts etc… every stuff you need that has to do with Boracay beach can be bought in Talipapa Market.

There were favorable seafood restaurants but since we came in a budgeted trip, we ended up taking our lunch in Mang Inasal while others ate in Andoks. We thought that we would just had our sumptuous sea foods dinner later that time. So, Mang Inasal was enough for lunch.

After lunch, we continued our quest in buying our Boracay memorable items. We explored the whole market. I bought a class A Billabong boardwalk short for only PhP 220.00, haggled from PhP 250.00 price.  I also bought 2 white Boracay t-shirts for only PhP 170.00 Keychains were also available at PhP100.00 per 8 pieces or PhP20.00/each You need to use your haggling talent so you could get a lower price. It will help you.

After the market invasion, we headed back to our rooms and prepared for beach invasion. The weather was scorching hot so I applied a lot of sunscreens. You know, I do not want my Master Eskinols to put into waste. Seriously? hahaha joke

So we went to the beach and the first time I was there, I could not help but to immediately appreciate the fine white sands of Boracay. Best white sands so far. No wonder why Boracay is a world class beach. The coconut trees were trimmed to make sure that coconut will not fall, that would be deadly if it hit a person’s head. And I glanced the whole view of the beach, it was like BAYWATCH. Yeah, sexy bodies and all this and all that. lol But the sexy bodies were not the main thing. The atmosphere that was… it was like happiness filled the surroundings. I saw people enjoyed swimming in the beach though sun was slowly burning their skin. I saw people played freesbie with enthusiasm. The ever envying para sailing activities from a far. Everything was just joyful. You know what I mean.

And yeah, the white sand beach is long. According to my research, the white beach extends to 4km long. From station 2 we walked and discovered the establishments on the beach front going to station 1. While we walked, I saw luxurious resorts like Boracay Regency. Some people will just suddenly pop out and negotiate if you are interested to try some activities like island hopping. Along the sidewalk, Nikki had her hair braided for like 200 – 500 pesos depending how long your hair is and what race you are. Hmmm… See this business is like racist! haha

I did not know how but my limbs were starting to complain. I just realized we had walked for so long. We did not even come to the famous Willy’s rock in Boracay because it was already tiring. We stopped for a moment and I captured one these photos below:

After we satisfied ourselves in exploring the beach front, we took a short dip. Kids love the beach.

By 530PM, we were ready to witness the magnificent sunset view. I’ll talk about it in my next blog entry. Thank you guys for reading. Please leave a comment. hehe
