SMARTbro: my cyber world
I finally got an internet connection at home. My Internet Service Provider (ISP) is Smartbro. If you ask my internet speed, there you have the result of a speed test I have taken at http://www.speedtest.net.
THE APPLICATION PROCESS
With my job as web designer, it was my desire to have a working fast (if not fast, at least not a dial-up modem) internet connection at home. I prayed and asked the Lord that after 2008, “I will have an internet connection at home!” I have declared that. My parents can’t support me with the monthly payments. So who else would pay for it but me. I know my Lord is good and He will provide me to fulfill this desire.
Until I got the courage to apply for an internet connection online! I did that alone without telling my parents. I believe, I can sustain the monthly payments without their big help.
Last December 25, 2008, I submitted an application online through the forms found in the Smartbro website. But I was in little doubt if I would take my application seriously. I thought of maybe this is not the time for me to have it.
School opened again for the year 2009… and I forgot my internet connection application at all. But surprisingly, a SMART agent called me on the 8th of January 2009. That time, I had the choice to deny my application but still I said yes. So, SMART Bro gave me my account number with the direction to pay the 999.00 pesos charge before the schedule of installation will be announced. The next day, I paid the fee and the cashier told me to wait for a call informing about my installation schedule. On January 11, I was on my way going to church when another SMARTbro agent called me. She said that they are going to install my internet tomorrow. I was happy that time. I was pretty excited to have such connection. And on Monday, January 12 at 2pm, two network personnel came into our house bringing the installation materials. I am so blessed. From then on, I can say goodbye to my Nokia 3110c phone modem!
ABOUT SMART BRO
I was researching about Smart Bro on the internet and I found many unpleasant comments against it. I was wondering why because my friend Crystal was far satisfied with Smart Bro. And I decided to choose Smart Bro because our house is very near to a SMART’s tower.
The connection is fine. So far I haven’t experienced being not connected. And the network guy had installed Smart Bro Quick Solutions software in my computer so this helps me in troubleshooting my connection in case my internet will go crazy.
Well, Smart Bro is a good choice for a single PC like I have.

70 kbps and below lang nakukuha ko sometimes 20 lang or 12 ano b yan na internet tapos ayaw nila akong magpadisconnect, tapos may shoppe ako alangan naman na 12 kbps in 10 computers, e di wala ka nang costumer. pagdisconnect daw kailangan bayaran ko 10 thou kasi 2 months lang nagamit ko.,….. ayaw ko nga!!!!!! anong claseng contract yan sabi nila up tom 1 mb ang makukuha ko e wala naman pala dapat bigay muna nila service nila na 1 mb or kahit 700 lng. wala naman silang mailabas kahit ilang ulit dumating technician nila. nagbabayad n lang ako ng wala alangan na magpa internet ako ng ganun e di wala nang customer. dapat bigyan pansin ng government ito para di nila maharass ang customer nila mag additional pa daw sila ng bayad or punta sa court, ano yun pananakot.
kaya nagpaconnect ako sa iba DSL nalng. do what is right if you know its right.
dapat we should work against their false and misleading contract.
i think Smartbro is good for single PC only. and since this is wireless, internet connection would vary from place to place

smart bro must comply to the 1mbps speed that is in the contract. I have only 0.20 mbps speed. smart bro has always problems in there bay sites. Sayang naman mga binabayad namin, pls naman don’t promote na mabilis ang net ng smart bro. super bagal, na nga sayang bayad, mga manloloko pa. sana lang makonsensya kayo smart at pinaghihirapan namin pambayad sa inyo!!!!
I am sorry to hear you having problems with Smartbro. However, my experience with Smart was great so far.

hi there guys.. nid ur help.. grabe bagal ng smartbro d2 s cotabato city area! as in. khit facebook d mabuksan.. paputolputol p net ko.. kainis tlga.. tried to call smartbro network ung sabi nilang *1888.. pero sa tagal ng aking pagtitiis n mkapasok.. sa wakas n kpsok nrin call ko.. i told them all my probs bout their connections..sabi nila they’ll call me withing 24hrs..pero wla prin cla nagtawag.. i search from web kng paano maayos net ko. and i found out sabi nila quicksolution daw.. ung meron “CHECK MY CONNECTION” pero d ko tlga mhanap.. could u plss tell me the link site for it.. pls ASAP! thnx for those who concern!

Hi! guyzzzz,,,,,actually sometimes SMARTBRO me pagka kupad tlaga connections nia but then, SMARTBRO now is upgrading there systems so there is no need to worry about it…this time in LUZON,VISAYAS,and MINDANAO area has it’s connection up to 1gb speed so there is no nid to worry bout the connections bout SMARTBRO…cheeerrrssssss…

Smart bro is good, there are just times that the signal will lost because of the antenna I guess.. Anyway, congrats to you for having an internet connection at home.. You will be hassle free for going to cafes..
