Nikon d5100! I finally own it!

Hi guys! It has been a long time since my last post and now I am back… well yeah, I am back just to let you all know that I am happy that I finally own a DSLR camera. Yes! Yes! Yes! Hope you are excited! lol Because I am excited. haha #iamshouting

I just bought Nikon D5100 last week and I like it. This is my first DSLR camera ever! Officially, I AM NIKON now. It was my lifelong dream to own a DSLR camera. I guess it is everyone’s dream… maybe for photographers only. It is a great achievement for me because this gadget is really expensive. I know it is a level entry DSLR (next to D3100) but it is still expensive for me.

I bought the gadget at Macy’s Camera House in AS Fortuna St., Banilad, Cebu City and it costs PhP 30,800 only for 6 months installment. It would only be PhP 28,000 if I paid it cash. I find the price lower compared to other stores in Cebu City. I thought of buying it through E-bay but having experienced the hassle of contacting with couriers, I decided to just buy it directly. Along with the gadget comes freebies: 4GB memory card and screen protector. No free Nikon bag though!

This time, I had the courage to invest a DSLR camera because of my upcoming trips to Mindanao (Ozamis – Iligan – Cagayan de Oro – Bukidnon) and Singapore. I thought that the pictures for these trips should be great. As what they say, gadget matters. haha Now that I have this monthly payment, I need to work harder. I believe I can pay it. I am a promising payer! haha

I am still in the process of learning how to use the DSLR. If not for the AUTO mode, I would have disliked the camera. I can not use the MANUAL mode. I have now a little idea what shutter speed, aperture, exposure, etc… Like I said, I am still a beginner.

What I like about this DSLR camera is you’ll get satisfactory shot at night even without using a tripod. (unedited)

So yeah. I am pretty excited to bring this camera on my upcoming trips! I will be giving my old Samsung ES70 Digital Camera to my sister.
