Cebu and Bohol | Skies and Seas
You must come to the Philippines. It is an archipelago composed of 1,107 islands. The country has white sand beaches to indulge, rich marine and wildlife sanctuary to discover, interesting and well preserved history to learn, natural and man made tourism sites to explore… and a lot of seas and skies to gaze upon…
I am not your typical traveler but I always take pictures no matter how insignificant they are. So this is my story about how I got from Cebu City to Tagbilaran City aboard Weesam Express…
The Philippine skies and seas! What a wonderful God’s creation.
) God bless the Philippines
Revisiting Cabisea Beach
Forget the luxurious beaches of Bohol and let us try another beach where everyone can afford to go to. Let us visit Cabisea Beach of Ubujan District, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
Cabisea Beach has been the source of income for many fishermen of Ubujan. It is rich with a variety of fishes, sea shells and sea weeds. This place has been my childhood’s favorite hang out. I remember the time when I would go along with my family to get some kinhason (shell fish) which we would make then as our supper. I learned how to distinguish a shellfish hiding the gulf weeds. It takes a great talent!
This beach is facing the Maribojoc Bay. It is rocky. There is a pool that would fill the entire area with sea waters if it is high tide. Mangrove Trees are planted on its side. Many locals would stop by just to chit chat, mostly are fishermen.
So my family had a picnic at this place last Tuesday morning. For months I have not visited this place and revisiting it brings me my nostalgic childhood memories.
