Playing slipper game along the white beach of Panglao Island
Just today (January 6, 2012), Department of Tourism (DOT) launched their campaign with the new slogan “It’s more fun in the PHILIPPINES”. This event is now trending in Twitter. Filipinos shared their own opinions by tweeting criticisms, praises and sarcastic remarks aimed at the DOT. Having read a lot of comments, I still choose to support this campaign. It’s more fun in the Philippines! I can testify why I support this campaign.
On the first day of 2012, my church mates went to Panglao Island. Many would go to Panglao Island to swim in the beaches. But us, we went there not just to swim but to play slipper game. More fun! One of my churchmates has a relative who tends an undeveloped beach located in between the famous and luxurious Bohol Beach Club and Eskaya Resort. Thus, our accommodation was free! The place is quiet and you can truly appreciate the beauty of nature!
By seeing these pictures, didn’t we have fun? We perfectly had fun! What was more was that we used the place for free! If you observed, our age bracket ranged from 13 years old to 26 years old. We didn’t have much income but we still managed to enjoy luxurious amenities like this.
So… after playing slipper game, we continued to eat the snacks we prepared. And right at that moment, the sky created itself a magnificent sunset right in front of our eyes. It was so wonderful! Beautiful! Perfect! We enjoyed taking pictures of ourselves with the beautiful sunset.
Most of us are still young (not me LOL) yet at this early age, we already appreciate how beautiful the country is. For now while we don’t have much budget, travelling in our very own province is a good start! Yeah, let us travel the whole Philippines! Who can appreciate the beauty of the Philippines more than anyone else but us, Filipinos! Let us support this DOT’s campaign, It’s more fun in the Philippines! Developed tourism means more jobs for Filipinos. More jobs for Filipinos means rising Philippines! Okay. Thank you for reading!

Thanks for sharing us that . I remember my childhood play ..
